Building Bakugou: A Spheres of Power Explanation
about 5 years ago – Wed, Mar 27, 2019 at 05:16:10 PM

Tobias's Bakugou build has been turned into a video: I admit it is the work of an amateur video-maker, but I think we do a good job of explaining how Spheres of Power lets you go from concept to build.

(I did make one change to the build as presented and I'm sorry but I didn't want to get into his gauntlets which are pretty much a magic item rather than a part of a build).

Let us know if we did a good job and if you found this explanation helpful, whether for yourself or for any new players you might be trying to introduce the Spheres of Power system to.

4th Stretch Goal Down: GM Screens
about 5 years ago – Tue, Mar 26, 2019 at 09:13:40 PM

The 4th and final add-on stretch goal (at least that is currently planned) has been unlocked, unleashing a spheres GM screen onto the world.

This one is a little bit tricky; due to the way Drivethru RPG sells things, if you have their special GM's screen already or want someone not associated with their GM screen, you can get it through this kickstarter as an add-on, no problem. If, however, you want their GM screen (and it's a nice GM screen; 4 panels for lots of room, you can check it out here), then it's actually cheaper and easier for you to just wait until the GM screen is put up on Drivethru and order the screen as part of ordering the GM screen inserts (the inserts bought with the screen are free, so it actually comes out cheaper for you than us trying to send you one ourselves).

But whatever form you order, it will contain lots of information to make running a spheres game easier.

The next stretch goals are the ones people have been requesting for a long time, and I'm excited to see if we can fit in the extra spheres that have been written since the original book was released.

Thank you all for helping us reach this point, we can't wait to see where this Kickstarter will go.

Blood, Fey, and Spheres of Might
about 5 years ago – Tue, Mar 26, 2019 at 10:05:22 AM

We are sooooooooooo close to breaking the final add-on stretch goal and unlocking the SoP GM's screen, and it's time to talk about the stretch goals that will come after that.

By far, the question we've gotten more than any other when we started this kickstarter is whether or not we would be including the Blood and Fallen Fey spheres into Ultimate Spheres of Power. For those unfamiliar, both the Blood sphere and the Fallen Fey sphere are additional spheres that were created after the original 20, each of which got their own handbooks. Rather than being generalist spheres like the basic 20, these spheres are special spheres, designed for niche ideas and setting-specific situations, and both of them are awesome.

And for the $25,000 and $30,000 stretch goals, we will be adding these spheres to the book!

Spheres of Might/Champions of the Spheres

We have added a new add-on to the campaign, this time for something that already exists, but that those of you who are new to the Spheres system might find interesting: Spheres of Might.

Spheres of Might is the ENnie-nominated spheres volume that is to martial characters what Spheres of Power is to magical characters. The book is awesome and includes everything you need to expand your martial options from variable combat styles to invention and scientist character options and everything in between.

The other volume, Champions of the Spheres, is a book dedicated to gish characters and integrating these two systems together, and includes 3 new classes and a host of feats and archetypes for characters who use Spheres of Might and Power.

You can get the PDF, softcover, or hardcover of Spheres of Might as an add-on, and since we want you to get the most out of your Spheres adventures, we will add the softcover and/or PDF of Champions of the Spheres free of charge to everyone who grabs themselves Spheres of Might through this campaign.

Thank You

Once again, thank you all so much for helping us make this book a reality. Every time you share this campaign with your friends or introduce them to the Spheres you are helping us bring something great to our community and we couldn't be happier.

Thank you,

Adam

The Winning Builds
about 5 years ago – Mon, Mar 25, 2019 at 10:18:23 AM

The weekend build competition is over, and the winning entries are Tobias Cooper's take on Bokugou and Storm, and Margherita Tramontano's take on the original OC. Thank you both very much for your entries, and now I have to stick my nose deep into editing software to take those build and use them to make a video explanation of how the spheres work.
